Ajo is a cool little town to explore, full of total characters. The plaza area is a great example of very early 20th century SW architecture. Lots of cute old houses too. There is the awe inspiring devastation of the pit mine...Cornelia. No longer active copper mine. There is a ton of BLM land, the Organ Pipe National Monument and the T'ohono Rez. Lots of interesting spots archealogically. Cabeza Prieta wildlife refuge also.
