I was reading a copy of The Time Machine and in the intro it spoke of Wells efforts to help the world create a world government. He had written much on the idea and as a public figure was widely popular.
He worked for the Ministry of propaganda in 1918 and produced a memorandum anticipating the league of nations. He influenced world leaders and his ideas strongly influenced the Pan American union.
This man has been described as a prophet and has been eerily right about future events and mechanics, he has also been described as a cynic.
So how and why does this sort of man make it his duty to bring about a world order?
