I think Josef Wages would be an excellent guest. He is an expert on the Illuminati and Freemasonry and bases his research on all of the evidence, including direct sources. Too many in conspiracy land have been recycling two centuries old ultra biased lore over and over again without stepping back and going directly to the source.

Josef edited and compiled some newly released works of Isaac Weishaupt and writes about he rise and fall of the Illuminati. I highly highly recommend the hour interview on Occult of Personality Podcast. This would be a wonderful guest as it would give a well-researched and counter opinion on this Freemasonic Order that has been demonized and blamed for so much these past couple centuries (and thus blamed for almost everything since the beginning of eternity during these past couple centuries). Josef shows how its founding was little different than the founding of any philosophical society (like the Theosophical Society) interested in enlightening humans from mental slavery and helping people towards the path of happiness. One key difference that led to it popularity was that it was a bottom up order (as opposed to the highly selective top down, upper class freemasonic orders that asked for large sums of money for each masonic degree) interested in gradual change within various regions and countries. Joseph can speak of the context to its rise (freemasonry had grown elitist and stagnant with declining membership), it s philosophies, and its takeover of and transformation of older Masonic orders. He is also very critical of its founder and some of its approaches to transforming society, going as far as calling such approaches highly unethical. The author himself is a 32nd degree Freemason with many other memberships and fellowships.
