Morgan Bierschenk is the founder and ceo of Geoship, a start-up that is trying to get accomplished Bucky Fuller's vision of affordable, regenerative eco-homes using the geodesic dome architecture.
I got to know the company randomly while reading Bucky's book Critical Path, and looking up his Dymaxion houses, and there was Geoship. I love everything I'm reading about the company's vision and values, the way they've set-out to structure their company as a co-op to benefit the whole, including their equity-based crowdfunding. They're already in talks with a few municipalities to create the Domes for the Homeless project in Las Vegas, NV.
The team is also full of mavericks working on different aspects that intersect with the THC crowd, including bio-materials (hemp-crete, bio-ceramics), vortexed water, etc. One in particular, the science biogeometry focused on architecture in harmony with biology, pioneered by Ibrahim Karim, who is also a member of International Light Association (ILA) with researchers like Dr Jacob Lieberman
Anyways, not to necessarily dwell into Geoship, but rather, to discuss with Morgan and his background that led him to found his company, as well about new business models, including regenerative culture/steward ownership, what it offers and how to get there.
There's never been a time that offers so much potential for transformation
Cheers ~
