OB and hospital birth conspiracies

I would love to hear about conspiracies regarding birth. There is a huge movement away from birthing in hospitals and instead birthing at home with a midwife. The idea is that the interventions used in hospitals are proven dangerous, ineffective and traumatizing for women and babies. Many practices have not been adequately researched and are still accepted as standard of care. Still, they are pushed on unsuspecting families. Even women who resist face bullying from OBs and often end up with interventions anyway bc it is so hard to say 'no' while in labor.

These conversations don't usually take a conspiracy angle, but instead focus on educating women on how to navigate in a toxic OB situation,reframe the idea of birth, or escape the toxicity all together. However, as a long time conspiracy observer, it seems pretty clear there is more than just good hearted misinformed doctors making poor choices. There is obviously a profit motive in scaring women and intervening in a natural process. Even deeper, it seems 'they' are attempting to interrupt our first moments here on earth and traumatize moms as they begin their parenting work.

I don't have a good source on this, but the documentary every natural birthing mom seems to have seen is called "the business of being born". Anyone have other leads?
I'm sure there are thinkers out there who have looked at this in more depth, but googling 'birth conspiracy" only gets me birther stuff...

Joseph Chilton Pierce, author of The Magical Child, would be a good person to interview in regards to this topic. His work points more to the trauma and lost potential, rather that the profit aspect of the problem.

Great topic idea & good suggestion on the movie.

Topics ranging from vaccinating moms while pregnant, pitocin to induce labor and its potential harmful side effects, the amount of cesarean sections and potential health effects for mother and baby, cutting the umbilical cord too soon, sliver nitrate drops in the eyes potentially interfering with the bonding, taking the baby away from mom after birth and how that can interfere with bonding & breastfeeding, Hep B vaccine, disposing of placenta vs consuming it, circumcision, the distribution of formula in the hospital, etc. could be interesting to discuss.

Potentially there may be some interesting conspiracies in regards to the DNA databases and the saving of cord blood. In additon there may be conspiracies in regards to the challenges on some being able to conceive and how fertility has become an industry.

One thing a mom can do is create a birth plan and discuss her wishes with those assisting with the birth.

I think it is a topic which certainly should receive more attention from both corporate and alternative media. Its long been known that babies have been kidnapped from their mothers in hospital and sold on by the Catholic Church as part of a worldwide network in baby trafficking:

There's also the recent horrific case here in Ireland of hundreds of babies bodies being discovered in sewers underneath derelict convents:

I also managed to watch a copy of 'Vaxxed' which has been essentially unofficially banned here in Europe by the corporate cabal (no one will show it) and was horrified to see vaccinations being forced on babies who were only 5 hours old! You don't have to be a doctor to know that its just plain wrong to do something like this. I'm sure Greg could find a number of willing guests on these topics to make more transparent this very opaque corner of our social system.

Greg, I know you hate the circumcision thing, so I just want to suggest Jeannine Barcelo as a guest. I think you may have had her on before, but I think she is a real firebrand who is always bringing some hot topics into the mix.
