I've no idea on the forums consensus or consistency when it comes to opinions on Trump as president, but I personally find him to be representative of something terrifying. The culmination of the slime of the eighties merged with the hateful, ultraviolence egregore that has found strength and refuge in the anonymity of certain regions of the internet. If you have no opinion, as unlikely as that may be, I'd ask you to look at the bills he's suggested and the inordinate amount of executive orders he has enacted in his first soon to be full week of presidency. The seemingly least harmful of his actions has been to ensure that American made products are given priority, and unfortunately, this nearly guarantees lethality based off of shoddy quality alone. The borders are slowly being restricted, giving precedent for complete closure as his isolationist policies progress. Civil and personal rights have literally started regressing, and any voice that chooses to speak out is immediately labeled a weak 'snowflake', giving the masses a banner against potential thought. The worst in humanity is being called out to by shifting societal sensibilities suddenly deemed acceptable. There are people other than Nazis who are offended that a Nazi got punched by a passing pugilist, because he rooted for the same puppet as they did. To get to the root of that, a man endorsed by the Nazi party is now POTUS. To make matters worse, he and the general public have no idea how the government works any more, and for some reason, this is working to his advantage in terms of efficacy. Vegas bookies recently had to halve the odds on Trump being impeached within the first six months due to a massive influx of bets. The odds now stand at 4:1. I find his impeachment to be both optimistic, and one of the worst outcomes, as Pence is more terrifying in his apparent blind faith and sadistic vision. And, while Trump is terrifying, the Mass Media's apparent movement against him is equally concerning. It's alarmist, and potentially upsetting a precarious situation to fall to a particular direction. So, I'm curious. What are the trends of thought on the forums as to the near future? Anybody have any predictions or wagers? To those to whom it applies, as the situation unfolds, if you take opposition to it, do you choose to run or fight? The UN definition for refugee will likely apply to large swaths of the population soon. And the structure creating situations such as this are prevalent in most if not all developed countries. There are pros and cons to every reaction, and I'm interested in other's opinions. That being said, I hear Ireland is nice this time of year.
