I've no idea on the forums consensus or consistency when it comes to opinions on Trump as president, but I personally find him to be representative of something terrifying. The culmination of the slime of the eighties merged with the hateful, ultraviolence egregore that has found strength and refuge in the anonymity of certain regions of the internet. If you have no opinion, as unlikely as that may be, I'd ask you to look at the bills he's suggested and the inordinate amount of executive orders he has enacted in his first soon to be full week of presidency. The seemingly least harmful of his actions has been to ensure that American made products are given priority, and unfortunately, this nearly guarantees lethality based off of shoddy quality alone. The borders are slowly being restricted, giving precedent for complete closure as his isolationist policies progress. Civil and personal rights have literally started regressing, and any voice that chooses to speak out is immediately labeled a weak 'snowflake', giving the masses a banner against potential thought. The worst in humanity is being called out to by shifting societal sensibilities suddenly deemed acceptable. There are people other than Nazis who are offended that a Nazi got punched by a passing pugilist, because he rooted for the same puppet as they did. To get to the root of that, a man endorsed by the Nazi party is now POTUS. To make matters worse, he and the general public have no idea how the government works any more, and for some reason, this is working to his advantage in terms of efficacy. Vegas bookies recently had to halve the odds on Trump being impeached within the first six months due to a massive influx of bets. The odds now stand at 4:1. I find his impeachment to be both optimistic, and one of the worst outcomes, as Pence is more terrifying in his apparent blind faith and sadistic vision. And, while Trump is terrifying, the Mass Media's apparent movement against him is equally concerning. It's alarmist, and potentially upsetting a precarious situation to fall to a particular direction. So, I'm curious. What are the trends of thought on the forums as to the near future? Anybody have any predictions or wagers? To those to whom it applies, as the situation unfolds, if you take opposition to it, do you choose to run or fight? The UN definition for refugee will likely apply to large swaths of the population soon. And the structure creating situations such as this are prevalent in most if not all developed countries. There are pros and cons to every reaction, and I'm interested in other's opinions. That being said, I hear Ireland is nice this time of year.

What has happened over my nearly seventy years of living in this country/world is best represented by the story of how best to boil a live frog.

With the end of WWII, the military-industrial complex portion of the moneyed class came out greatly empowered. That class based group's reach has consolidated itself today into the military-industrial-security state-MSM complex, as well as taken itself far beyond a national and onto a global stage, with its military component still centered in the USA. The security state is shared with the UK, as well as much in terms of financial interests. For us, as those frogs in the boiling pot, while not all of us have noticed how hot it's already gotten, this Trump hiccup may be just what's been needed to get some of us to jump the fuck out of the pot.

It could be that the friendly Fascism of the past 70 years is about to remove the smiley face mask. Frogs, jumping out of the pot, will not be smiled upon, but the divisions cut through every part of US society, and hopefully enough of us have had it with News Speak. There will be some who will no longer follow their orders. Will there be enough? I don't know.

Connect with those close to you. Don't force anyone. Just speak your truth. Know your truth. Look at your beliefs and really see if they hold up. Who really wants what's become all corruption, all of the time, to rule our lives?

First, know thyself. Be the change you wish to see.

Well said. The current situation has by no means sprung up overnight, nor is it localized. It's, instead, symptomatic of a structure that has long been in place to be abused by those with knowledge and connections. Conflict bred as a distraction that is in turn profited from. This is merely the crucial moments of peaking potentiality before the gap is bridged. The mechanism was built years ago, and the input was generated shortly after. This is not the first, nor likely last, time that the machine has discharged on it's cycle of control, but it is what is happening now. And hopefully Trump is, as you say, a hiccup. Because that means the system is in a state of imbalance, and there is a possibility of usurping it. It comes down to action, and being the change you want to see as you said, but unfortunately I've found that those who want to know rarely want to interact, or understand that they can. It's unfortunate, but I suppose my curiousity also doubles as a call to action for those who can see the situation more clearly than the norm, but who haven't yet stepped into the game, so to speak. This is potentially a rare situation, and this is a fight fought over generations. It starts with consciousness. All hands on deck.

It's my humble opinion that we (Americans) have been a toll of numbers for like-minded companies, who are united globally and care not for the boundaries of borders , nor who have an allegiance to any one nation, race, political or religious affiliations, who wish only to use our standing of greatness and freedom within the global society to fulfill the greed and control of their desires. We have been, and currently still stand, as a global platform for showing the world what they are capable of.

What we have been witnessing is a total control of opinions, social biases and norms, values, thoughts, racism, etc. etc. etc. in order to cause conflict between every race, political view, social norm, religion, class etc using every form of media possible. They work in a similar way as a large constriction snake where they slowly get in place and wrap around us more and more and once in place they start to squeeze. They don't squeeze with all of their might, they wait for us to take in a breath and squeeze as we breath, slowly restricting our ability to breath. This approach allows them to get in place and get control without panic of the prey. Once they have control they induce panic in order to get more control and make escaping by means of calm and logical reasoning impossible. Can you guess at what point in this allegory we are in right now?

Its my opinion that Trump has been witness to this group of people who only want to suck the life, freedom, wealth and moral from all nations until they have the entire world in an old coal miner's situation and he is trying to undo what Obuma has done, especially in the last few months. I don't think he knows all nor do I think he is perfect or has all the answers, but I think he truly does have America's best interests at heart. These are dire times and all I can say is that I am convinced that Trump has a much better moral compass and more love for his fellow Americans than Hitlary does!! So I am cautiously optimistic that Trump is making the hard decisions that he has to to turn this country back around to be good for "We the people".

To witness the main stream media going crazy and many certainly funded opposition protests is reinforcing my stance and has me thinking that my thoughts are on par to the ACTUAL situation that is going on.

However, I am still watching Trump closely to see if things start looking spoiled. I think we have to wait a little longer to determine the good and bad of Trump's actions. Seriously, it's only been 9 days that Trump took office.

Since everyone is pointing out some of Trump's flaws, whether they are true or false, let me point out a few of his well known more positive traits. He is one who takes charge and gets shit done and he does more before his morning shit than most people do all day. His work ethic and drive has made him a billionaire, a couple times from bankruptcy. He has never drank or done drugs, or even relied on substances to give him energy. He is straightforward, honest, one of the most practical businessmen in the world and he is deceivingly smart. He is smart and cunning in ways I think we will come to appreciate in the months to come. He is a patriot, family oriented and loves good ol' fashion American ideals and values. A huge fucking step up from the last president and alternative president we could have now no matter what way you feel about Trump himself. When I do the comparison of the last president and who could be in office now I am thankful at least for what else could be happening right now!

With Hillary we knew we would get more of the same but worse. At least now we are only wondering what is to come and have a sliver of hope still.

I won't be surprised when it's "President Pence," sooner than many would expect. I think it will be some version of Shit Creek and the paddles will continue to be hard to come by. Earth changes offer more hope than anything I see in the political sphere.

Whoever has the power of POTUS is at this point in the Empire is a shit eating puppet for unseen forces. So instead of a cannibal into child trafficing, we have a reality TV star who inherited his wealth and position and has used it to appoint Exxon execs to high office and who has a Blackwater connected fundamentalist as Veep.

Fuck them. Let's hope the power struggle reveals some truths, but let's do our own thing and not look to an ass like Trump for anything.

Satya knows :)

Satya knows that he doesn't know; turns to Hexagram 43 in the I Ching: Break-Through -- Resoluteness

TUI -- The JOYOUS, LAKE is above
CH'IEN -- The CREATIVE, HEAVEN is below

This hexagram signifies on the one hand a break-through after a long accumulation of tension, as a swollen river breaks through its dikes, or in the manner of a cloudburst. On the other hand, applied to human conditions, it refers to the time when inferior people gradually begin to disappear. Their influence is on the wain; as a result of resolute action, a change in conditions occurs, a break-through. The hexagram is related to the third month [April-May].

THE JUDGMENT

Break-through.
One must resolutely make the matter known
At the court of the king.
It must be announced truthfully. Danger.
It is necessary to notify one's own city.
It does not further to resort to arms.
It furthers one to undertake something.

Even if only one inferior man is occupying a ruling position in a city, he is able to oppress superior men. Even a single passion still lurking in the heart has power to obscure reason. Passion and reason cannot exist side by side -- therefore fight without quarter is necessary if the good is to prevail.

In a resolute struggle of the good against evil, there are, however, definite rules that must not be disregarded, if it is to succeed. First, resolution must be based on a union of strength and friendliness. Second, a compromise with evil is not possible; evil must under all circumstances be openly discredited. Nor must our own passions and shortcomings be glossed over. Third, the struggle must not be carried on by force. If evil is branded, it thinks of weapons, and if we do it the favor of fighting against it blow for blow, we lose in the end because thus we ourselves get entangled in hatred and passion. Therefore it is important to begin at home, to be on guard in our own persons against the faults we have branded. In this way, finding no opponent, the sharp edges of the weapons of evil become dulled. For the same reasons we should not combat our own faults directly. As long as we wrestle with them, they continue victorious. Finally, the best way to fight evil is to make energetic progress in the good.

THE IMAGE

The lake has risen up through heaven:
The image of BREAK-THROUGH.
Thus the superior man
Dispenses riches downward
And refrains from resting on his virtue.

When the water of a lake has risen up to heaven, there is reason to fear a cloudburst. Taking this as a warning, the superior man forestalls a violent collapse. If a man were to pile up riches for himself alone, without considering others, he would certainly experience a collapse. For all gathering is followed by dispersion. Therefore the superior man begins to distribute while he is accumulating. In the same way, in developing character he takes care not to become hardened in obstinacy but to remain receptive to impressions by help of strict and continuous self-examination.

It's disappointing that within a forum of a podcast that aims to shed light on the mind control memes and talking points in the mainstream media, we see the very talking points and media mind control gibberish that is being used to try to discredit the new president. "A reality TV star"? "Inherited wealth and position"? I might as well be watching CNN.

I always thought that all "reality TV" shows were pretty stupid (still do) and was far from any real reality. However, I could appreciate the approach and practicality of "The Apprentice" from a business stand point. Make money by opening your range to find the best candidates to a very wide area and to a very wide range of people. I rarely watched it and didn't think much of Trump. But, the times I did watch it I appreciated his ability to sense what things were really going on. I thought that he either had a sixth sense about things or was watching things behind the scene. Then I listened to a podcast that had on a guy that was behind the scenes of The Apprentice and he said that Trump would just come on set without any information and he was able to guage and read the situation. He was amazed by Trump and it really made him think differently about Trump. So what Trump made piles of money while holding mass hiring on a TV show? It seems pretty smart to me!

As for his inherited wealth. Yeah, his family had money. Most who have money either just live off it, never do anything or lose the fortune trying to make decisions to make more money. Trump is still a billionaire, has increased his fortune by magnitudes, has lost it and came back and is one of the hardest working billionaires you will ever hear about.

I was always anti-Hillary but the more I dug into Trump the more I was hopeful he might make a difference... If a president can actually make his own decisions and has some actual authority. I don't like some of his picks but I can understand why he might make those decisions... but I don't want my hopefulness to cloud my judgement, so I stay suspicious until I can see the actual good or bad of the decision.

I just wish people could use their own judgement and draw their opinions from their own research and critical thinking rather than regurgitating the main stream bullshit memes and getting sucked into the mass mind control programming.

You point out as a plus Trump's supposed abstinance from drugs and alcohol on "The Higher Side Chats" well I will smoke a little smoke and drink a little drink to that.

What MSM mind programming I will not be forced into is false dualism.

Let's agree Mr. Rhino that Hillary's defeat should be celebrated.

On the other hand, the new boss is just another boss we don't need.

My point of Trump not drinking or relying on drugs goes deeper than the surface reasoning. It goes to why he never has and leads to his strength of Will and staying on his own moral path. Something you don't see very often in society, let alone in politics. It says a lot about HIS character and who HE is and has nothing to do with what anyone else decides is or is not ok pertaining to their own stance on alcohol or drugs of any kind. I drink some and have smoked, as well as got into pharmaceuticals and feel that adults should have the right to self medicate as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. One should look for traces of evidence of who a person truly is on the core level.

To follow along social conditioning and biases for the general judgement of others is to give control of your critical thinking skills to the puppet masters. I hope to see people break the pattern of mind control and start thinking for themselves... even if they disagree with me. Then I can second guess my own judgement on a matter, hold up both sides of the argument and come to a conclusion based on the actual facts.

False dualism. It seems like a catch phrase or key word to invoke an instant emotional response. I still have to decide my position on it and if it is actually worth my spent emotion. I hold the opinion that I am proud of you for sourcing out a stance on a certain subject related to MSM mind control. It shows you are open to the idea and making a stand.

Yes indeed, her defeat should be celebrated. I am not of the mindset that we don't need a "boss". Given the current state of the general population its better to put forth a "boss" that we look upon as worthy of the position than it is to have the puppet masters and they're MSM providing the narrative that the sheeple follow and accept their truth and reality from. There is a certain buffer that should be in place because so many people's reality has been altered to such a state that a sudden change could actually prove to have adverse results than intended.

Thank you for your reasoned response Mr. Rhino. Perhaps I shouldn't have inflamed passions by saying fuck Trump, but I wanted THC visitors to get it that this isn't a place where DT gets a pass.

The main reason I celebrate Hillary's defeat and this apparent shift in power is it is helping disclosure of some of the Neo-Liberal crimes. Pizza Fucking Gate(i.e. Franklin part II).

I take serious heat all the time for telling my friends and co-workers that Trump should be congratulated for the death of TTP, for making a panel to review vaccinations, and for making some peace with Russia. I am a reasonable person who angers all sides of just about any political debate.

That said I have many Mexican immigrant friends who are scared for good reason. Trump is slashing foodstamps. Many people are broke and need those. Then there is Pence. Blackwater drinker. Then there is his attorney general who is opposed to medical cannabis. Fuck this shit.

False dualism is something that drugs genuinely help you overcome. One example of false dualism is the arbitrary division and false either or choice between "conservative" or "liberal". Nascar or F1 (F1 obviously is superior). If you we were together in person I'd offer you some keef. Homegrown in Oregon sunshine my friend. No money necessary.

F1, without doubt. It is this here environmentalist's greatest incongruity. :)

If anyone looks at Trump's tweets, how much farther does one have to look to see a raging case of narcissism? Now there are two personality disorders that track closest to psychopathies in general, and these are, histrionic personality disorder, and narcissistic personality disorder. Each contain specific indicator points inherent in psychopathy.

As far as Trump's official actions, however many days in, okaying that pipeline that finally got halted when thousands of veterans showed up on the site of the ongoing travesty, when Trump had just been forced to divest his million dollar investment therein (probably bought right back up by his sons), not to mention his campaign got gifted $100,000 by the pipeline company's parent company, well, that just sucks the biggest one.

So, Trump has lost his free pass by me already, and no, I was against both him and Killery and did not vote for either.

Turbulent fucking times.

Again I turn to the I Ching: - Hexagram 36 - Ming I / Darkening of the Light:

One should let many things pass, without being duped.

You have the right to inflame passion in whatever way you like for whatever reason you deem worthy. It's just my hope that such inflamed passions wouldn't be headed by the same wording and arguments the puppet masters are using in the MSM in a forum that tries to break the mind control mass media indoctrination feeding the fire of deception, anger, emotional responses and ignorance.

I agree that DT should not get a free pass, but shouldn't he at least get a chance to prove himself? Of all of the positive things that he is focusing on and making changes with, doesn't he deserve a chance to prove that he is who he says he is? He is already working harder than any president within my life time has. I, personally, am choosing to give him a chance.

If the puppet masters are in control and the president is just a monkey then why attack Trump? If the president DOES still have some power and CAN mess with the puppet masters' plans, then we should look upon the MSM, highly funded protests, attacks upon him as proof of the good he is doing.

::shrugs:: I don't know what will happen but I choose to remain calm and use my own critical thinking skills to make my own determination of what is good and what is bad. I certainly will not be tricked into responding emotionally at every little turn of events the MSM tries to focus our attention on with other people who are unfortunate enough to have their emotions controlled. It will only lead to WE the people fighting one another. Divide and conquer. Its silliness.

I find it strange that its perfectly ok for any other country to deport people who are in another country illegally but want to flame Trump for wanting to enforce the rules that are already in place in our country. There are more than just Mexicans here. The Mexican/U.S. border has been open for any people (Turks, ISIS, Russians, etc) to just walk through to walk among us to do as they want. There are no records of them, way to check their background or find them if they commit a crime. And somehow the people of this country is pissed off that Trump wants to put into action plans to help keep us safe. This will not affect or infringe upon our rights.

Maybe I just don't see the reality of the situation?

I completely agree about the MSM. I killed my satellite TV two years ago and rely completely on alternative sources. I really appreciate Jimmy Dore, as he seems to get that the reason we have a one party system is that corporate Democrats are how Republicans get the things they want done. Trump has come from outside the Republican machine politics and is not getting the free pass that Bush-Reagan and Cheney-Bush certainly got, and that Killery certainly would have, as did Mr. Bill and Obama before her. Populism will be tolerated, if it's a populism that can be used, as by the Koch Bros. and Americans for Prosperity who could dance the Tea Party on strings like it was Team America.

Personally, I don't think the Donald has a generous bone in his body, and we (if he lasts long enough, given the one party politics he's invaded) will get to see his greedy, self-centered, personality traits play out. That said, Killery could well have been worse, and would have had most of the MSM laying down like a tired kitten, while Faux News would be back to its divide-and-rule tactical role. Trump could be what makes the frogs jump out of the boiling pot, and/or, he could be the face of an unfriendly Fascism that brings us to war in our streets and roads.

Turbulent times are filled with turbulence. Peace, true peace, is only had, one person at a time. It's up to us, within our selves, to not be taken up into partisan passions. For me, my wars are over. Now I watch and wait, knowing what I can and cannot do. I've had a full life, but I still tend to my bodily wellbeing, taking whatever comes with as much neutrality as I am able. It's a forgive them Father, for they know not what they do kind of situation out there. In here, there is the only peace to be found.

=================

Here's the latest Jimmy Dore Show, posted last night, as a case in point about what I am calling the One Party System:

To qualify my comment I'll state that I don't watch TV and try to avoid anything but music on the radio when I'm in the truck going to work. So I am willfully ignorant on the topic.

That being said I doubt that there is really any difference between Trump and Obama and Hillary etc... Obama was no different than Bush. All of Bush's policies were continued and expanded under Obama. Obama had the same people funding him that Bush did. The Obamacare that everyone brags about is just a mandatory insurance law that has degraded the quality of healthcare in this country while at the same time increasing it's cost.

It blows my mind that people could even think that voting does anything but give your consent to a totally rigged system where your vote literally does not count. I doubt that we've had an honest election in this country in decades but since the advent of electronic voting the exit polls have been different from the result by a margin large enough to prove electoral fraud 100 times over.

So not knowing much about what is going on I see only a few possibilities:

Either the MSM is taking things out of context and / or blowing them completely out of proportion, which is most certainly happening but by this I mean only this is happening

Or Trump was put up there as a clown to make those of us that have any faith in the system loose what little faith that they have.

Or Trump lied to people behind the scenes and now that he is in office has turned on the elites and is actually doing some good.

I will leave in here the possibility that Trump got in despite rigging the election in the other direction. We will know this is true if they stonewall him like they did to Carter.

When WWII ended the Germany people may have lost the war but the Nazis most certainly did not. They were brought here and took over our space programs and the OSS ( which is now called the CIA ). In my entire adult life I've watched as the US has been set up to become the next fall guy for the global elites.

If you study the art of making and winning warfare it becomes fairly obvious that the US being subverted from within and is being prepared for civil and / or world war. My gut feeling on this is that it's both. At the very least we are being pushed towards a world war that will not have the full support of the people.

We have had our Reichstag Fire. We've been the aggressor in several unjustified wars. We have been bankrupted by international bankers who have stolen ownership of everything from our industry to our natural resources. Now we are being broken apart on the civil side of things. We are at the last couple of moves on the chessboard.

So you can say what you want about Trump but in my opinion he's just a blow hard that has no real power to do anything of significance that his puppet master's don't approve of.

In my opinion the only chance that we have is if a sizable portion of the population starts acting like adults and taking responsibility for their own participation in things and stops looking towards other's to solve their problems for them.

As long as people are willing to give their power away so that they don't have to take responsibility I see no way that things can do anything but get worse.

To put a little perspective on running away to Ireland I think it's worth thinking about why the US might be targeted for begin taken down in a very public and humiliating way. We have been the bastion of freedom and liberty that has driven other peoples to rise up and demand it for themselves. For a global, tyrannical, police state to take over we must first be taken down and made an example. So you can run, I just think that your problems will likely follow you.

To be clear I don't think that all hope is lost. I just don't think that arguing about if the current presidential puppet is a good one or not is going to help the situation. We need to think about what we are doing and how it affects outcomes. Your vote at the ballot box my not matter in the grand scheme of things but where you put your energy does. Think about who you are spending your money with and who your are working for etcetera. The little decisions that you make on a day by day basis matter a lot. You don't even have to make all of the right decisions you just need to be a little more right today than you were yesterday.

I suppose my curiousity also doubles as a call to action for those who can see the situation more clearly than the norm, but who haven't yet stepped into the game, so to speak.
That sounds less like being the change that you want to see in the world and more like asking everyone else to be the change that you are unwilling to become yourself.

In my life I've not ever seen a situation where one could intentionally influence someone else without it being manipulative. And I've never seen manipulative work out well.

The only way that I have ever seen anyone influence another in a positive way is when someone lives their life as a statement of their truth and someone else sees that truth and likes it and attempts to emulate it. However even if you are doing the "right thing" but you are doing it in an attempt to influence other's, to me that is the very seeds of corruption and the only fruit that can be harvested from any tree that those seeds produce will in turn be corrupt it's self.

... if you take opposition to it, do you choose to run or fight?
...It starts with consciousness. All hands on deck.

I've been asking myself this ever since 9/11. Having recently given up fighting, I am tired. But I would point out we are not limited to an either-or-choice. We can sit in dignity and do our best to clean our own lamp.

Oh and as for Mr. Rhino and complaints about illegals, well for all he knows that wall will be holding him in someday, if he's a runner. Seems like a tough guy this Rhino. Am tired, and like him my hide is impervious. But brother try some harder entheogens and steal some liberty.
