Tuskegee Study - Human Vaccine Experimentation

A history lesson brought to my attention today by the CDC's attempt to censor it.

In the 1930's, the USPHS flat out lied to African Americans in order to get them to become guinea pigs in a long term syphilis study (i.e. being told they were receiving treatment when instead they were receiving a placebo):

I posted this similar short message on my local Patch at Thanksgiving until it was removed for violating Patch Community Guidelines.

“Did know you that for 15 years, the CDC had direct oversight over the Tuskegee syphilis experiment? Do you think they have the moral authority to tell us how to celebrate Thanksgiving?”
