that city is huge, this city is a smaller city where its mainly bikes and 12 spoke train's. it could be 14 spoke if the west and east lines split. it only has one high speed rail because those have to be straight. it would work well coming from the beach to central Oregon to Idaho. that would cost as much as a small project in those rich places. Singapore, dubai ect

I was looking into taking courses about CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), and noticed their gardens to resemble your city ideas designs.
Thought it was inspiring.
Oh, and also noticed that the I-ching is also laid-out similarly. Make of that what you will :) :p

in ancient times china built cities in 9 squares and each section was for different uses. that would be good these days. one section is the computer/ jobs area, another for smoking weed...

its funny to think without the internet I probably still wouldn't have this done, almost everything that made me think about this idea came from seeing something or something someone wrote on forums. a few years ago listening to podcasts and watching youtube videos was what brought me to thinking about city related things and one morning looking at a shelf with comics gave me my first idea. a octagon building. anyways heres one more pic where the train stops are.

Have you tried building a scaled model yet? I think it'd be lots of fun with unused items laying around home, water to simulate fluxes, you could plant some alfalfa to simulate the greens (they're super easy to grow, with little to no soil, and sprout in 2-3 days). Just food for thought :)

ive got a big sheet of paper i could draw on then use things for the 3d parts. im not sure how to draw it without a grid but i think ill try. i could draw a grid on the paper but im not sure the size it should be. kinda stuck in between of technology is nice but to complex and drawing is good but takes a lot of math.

Pencil and ruler on grid paper should be enough, maybe a compass. Doesn't need to be exact either :)
Start small, like a napkin sketch, and then expand in size. Drawing makes for a meditative practice too!

ive got grid paper and i tryed it but im not sure how to make it like the pic i made in daz 3d. i took a top down pic a long time ago of it and i changed is so much since then using a 2d drawing program. i cant use the 3d program because the only way i can use it is getting a new computer and last time i needed a new computer anyways. daz 3d always messes up randomley for me for some reason then i go to reset the settings and that doesnt work. i even uninstalled it and reinstalled it but still the same. how i got the daz 3d drawing was i just used a grid then i had a square and kept messing with it without looking at a grid and now im not sure how to do it except maybe start from my first one and do it with out a grid after a while.

i know what to do now, i ran out of space. thats going to take a long time to draw a grid on a big sheet of paper.

i guess i could also use a octagon, that makes it faster and exact. cant beleive i didnt think of that.
