Reno, NV. Anyone see those big green flashes in the sky?

Good to be here, all! And thank Carlwood for creating such an outlet.

Saw the sky flash green in three big blasts last week and the "official" narrative is that some transformers blew. I'm not saying that's not a possible explanation. But with Tesla just outside of town and multiples military bases in the vicinity, I wondered if anyone had other explanations of this occurrence. This same thing has been seen all over the world and has explanations ranging from atmospheric plasma to the power transformer idea.

Hi alogan, we've been getting some crazy ass pinks and purples lighting up the sky for the last 6 months or so down here in Australia.

Something similar happened in NYC in December as well. From the video it sounds like you could hear the hum as the transformer arced for quite some distance.
