Oh, but I do get it...
I'm an engineer dipshit, I make things that power our society, saves people's lives, don't kill anyone in the process, and the chances of getting an engineering job without a degree are slim to none. I probably make 3 times what you do on a good day and yet my student loans are more expensive than my meager housing in one of the most expensive counties in the country (I live here to be able to pay for my student loans).

You can blow your "understanding" out of your ass right along with your shitty commentary. Then you can shove it back up your ass and twist it sideways so it doesn't become dislodged again. Just about the only way I could imagine you looking like a bigger plutocratic puppet is if a Rothschild or one of those jag-offs from Prager U helped you with that.

The business practices of the student loan industry are completely corrupt and reprehensible. Kickbacks, fraud, lies, distortion, overcharging, and a smattering of just about every dirty trick and rottern service scheme have been tried in that industry.

Most professors are not making hundreds of thousands a year, especially with the rise of adjunct professors taking their place and being paid a fraction of a real salary for that position without benefits. The cost associated with college is primarily on the rise due to administrative positions.

No need to get angry & butthurt, bro! I know that some jobs--for various, usually govt.-related reasons--require a degree. I'm sorry that--in this statist system--you were forced to overpay for an education that, in a free-market, probably would've been 1/10 cheaper. At least I now know why you're so keen on getting 'free' shite from the Daddy/Mommy State!

Unlike you I chose NOT to overpay for a degree & went straight into the workforce after high school...also unlike you I don't whine about the decisions I made or expect someone else to pay for them...I also live in an expensive SoCal beach city (I own my own home--bought near the bottom of the last real estate crash) and get by fine on my middle-of-the-road income...despite living in Socialist/Progressive shithole California! Having discipline & a self-taught understanding of economics/investing has paid off quite nicely for me.

Sorry, but its govt. that has driven up the cost of education...and which also guarantees loans (w/o this banks wouldn't lend $10,000's to 18 y.o.'s coming out of high-school) & makes it illegal to discharge student loan-debt via bankruptcy.

Its also the unbelievably shitty socialist K-12 schools which fail so badly at preparing people for life that are at fault...over this time the govt. spends around $150,000/student for...what? Basic reading & math skills (if that)?

Dude, you are barking up the wrong tree...

I came across this Poets Code of Ethics by the Twilight Club from last century, with none other than Walter Russell. Cool synchronicity?
1. Attain the Brotherhood of Man ideal by giving righteous action and good will service to every man, instead of taking from him that which he has. Discover that all men are extensions of each other – that man is made for man – and that the hurt of one man is the hurt of all men

2. Develop character, intelligence, and good citizenship by teaching every man from early youth to be a good neighbor and loyal citizen.

3. Discover man’s inner Self by awakening within him that spark of divine Light which lies dormant in every man

4.Realize that work done for the material world should be for man’s ennoblement, and not for grinding his Soul out in the years of industrial machines.

5. Know that Man is Mind, not body

6. That he is immortal Spirit, Not mortal flesh

7. and that he is good, Not bad

8. Judge the righteousness and religion of any man by what he does to his fellow man and not by his beliefs, doctrines, creeds,or dogmas

Herbert Spencer
Walt Whitman
Edwin Markham
Mark Twain
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Oliver Wendell Holmes
John Burroughs
Walter Russell
Lao Russell

Who do you think wrote those regulations? Banks get paid twice if you default as they often own the collections agency for the delinquent debt while they get fully reimbursed for all remaining balance, there is zero incentive to not make someone default.

Its also the unbelievably shitty socialist K-12 schools which fail so badly at preparing people for life that are at fault...over this time the govt. spends around $150,000/student for...what? Basic reading & math skills (if that)?

Indoctrination, not skills is the point of the excersize in our current incarnation of a primary education system. It certainly doesn't have to be that way.
