I'm an engineer dipshit, I make things that power our society, saves people's lives, don't kill anyone in the process, and the chances of getting an engineering job without a degree are slim to none. I probably make 3 times what you do on a good day and yet my student loans are more expensive than my meager housing in one of the most expensive counties in the country (I live here to be able to pay for my student loans).![]()
Oh, but I do get it...
Student loans are paid off multiple times before you are done. Libor is not your friend.

You can blow your "understanding" out of your ass right along with your shitty commentary. Then you can shove it back up your ass and twist it sideways so it doesn't become dislodged again. Just about the only way I could imagine you looking like a bigger plutocratic puppet is if a Rothschild or one of those jag-offs from Prager U helped you with that.
Those living in poverty do not pay for welfare.

The business practices of the student loan industry are completely corrupt and reprehensible. Kickbacks, fraud, lies, distortion, overcharging, and a smattering of just about every dirty trick and rottern service scheme have been tried in that industry.
Most professors are not making hundreds of thousands a year, especially with the rise of adjunct professors taking their place and being paid a fraction of a real salary for that position without benefits. The cost associated with college is primarily on the rise due to administrative positions.

Nevermind that there are many places in the world that do not encumber their students with such oppressive debt loads, and they tend to have excellent economies:

Gosh, so much loving-kindness and compassion has been lost in this thread.
And another compassion bunny is slaughtered.I don't suffer fools...even highly-edumacated ones like shamangineer...
That shadow you cast shows says more about your own foolishness than building any sort of credibility.I don't suffer fools...even highly-edumacated ones like shamangineer...
Sorry, but its govt. that has driven up the cost of education...and which also guarantees loans (w/o this banks wouldn't lend $10,000's to 18 y.o.'s coming out of high-school) & makes it illegal to discharge student loan-debt via bankruptcy.
Its also the unbelievably shitty socialist K-12 schools which fail so badly at preparing people for life that are at fault...over this time the govt. spends around $150,000/student for...what? Basic reading & math skills (if that)?
But since we're dialoguing through memes:
